MDP currently is divided into 3 districts, Narok, Kajiado, and Loitokitok (Mt. Kilamanjaro) areas.

3 Generators were purchased and two sound systems through donations - Thank you. MDP still needs $500 for the last sound system.

These would aid in evangelistic efforts.

Our goal is to have a Projector and DVD player in each district.

Thus we need 3 sets.

With the Maasai Development Project Education Centre (MDPEC) now in full operation, expenses are escalating. We have been looking for ways to generate funds for the Centre while at the same time cutting costs.

Money has been donated to build an industry building which we plan to turn into a briquette making industry. There is a real need to find alternative fuel as at the present time wood is used for cooking and for heating water. The briquettes are made of cow manure and grass or maize stalks gathered at minimal costs. The briquettes will be used for fire fuel thus not longer having the need to cut trees for firewood and paying for transport of the wood. The briquettes will also be sold to surrounding communities as well as tourist tent camps and lodges.

While we have met costs for the building, we still need donations for the machine itself. Your donation will help to bring a second industry to MDPEC to defray running expenses for the Centre.

On May 4, 2011, Jan and three of our girls from the MDPEC were in an automobile accident. Millicent was thrown from the vehicle as it rolled. When the vehicle came to a stop, Millicent was under the vehicle.

Miraculously she was alive but did sustain a compound fracture of her leg. After a 1 month stay in the hospital she was released but unable to walk even on crutches and was bedridden for another 2 months due to complications. She has had multiple surgeries and is still under a Dr.’s care.

The medical expenses so far are $12,500. Please help to defray Millicent’s medical expenses.

Currently the girls are eating their meals either outside on the ground or in the dormitory on the tables where they do their studying. The dining hall will need 8 tables and benches to service the children.

Currently the cooking has been done over an open fire in an outside temporary structure with inadequate size cooking utensils making it a challenge for feeding the children and staff. When the dining hall is complete the kitchen will need to be equipped with proper cooking equipment. Income generating activity as well.

A combination Windmill & Solar System will be used to accommodate the center which would include the dormitories, education center, guest houses , dining hall, industrial building and clinic
