Imagine yourself sleeping on the floor with only a thin mattress in a 10X10 room with 16 other people. How comfortably do you think you would be sleeping?
That is exactly how 17 children sleep during their school holidays 3 months out of the year in Siana, Kenya.
Siana is situated on the edge of the Masai Mara Game Reserve in Maasailand. Maasai Development Project is privileged to sponsor 17 children from that area.
There are approximately 1500 "At Risk" girls in that area alone. At risk of being forced into a marriage and/or suffering from the Female Genital Mutilation. The community at Siana has donated 15 acres of land to MDP for the purpose of building a home and income generating activities for the widows and rescued children.
Please partner with us as we build "The Medacta House", for these children and the future children of this home. The project will cost $100,000. Of that, $64,000 has already been raised leaving a balance of $36,000.
Now just imagine yourself sleeping in a room with only 4 children to a room with a bed all to yourself, snuggled in a warm, clean, home environment. These children deserve the best we can give them, won't you help give them a save place to live?
